Milender White (MW) has started construction operations for the 1625 Lincoln mixed-use project in downtown Santa Monica, CA. For the past year, MW has been working closely with Fifield Realty and KFA Architecture on the preconstruction effort for 1625. The project is the second phase of The Catherine Santa Monica, a mixed-use development on Lincoln Blvd., just north of the 10 Freeway. Located within walking distance from the Santa Monica Pier, The Catherine will offer a best-in-class apartment living with heightened luxury features, finishes and amenities.
“We are thrilled to once again partner with Fifield Realty and help bring The Catherine Santa Monica to life,” said Adam Mack, Executive Vice President and District Manager of Southern California. “Preconstruction was critical on this project. The team was able to spend the time to select key subcontractors that were not only a great value for the project but also could commit the necessary manpower to meet our schedule. An on-time delivery of this project is key to its success.”
At five-stories, 1625 features 191 units and 11,402 square feet of ground floor retail. The project consists of two buildings connected by bridges over a new alley. The two buildings share a combined parking garage two floors below grade. All together, The Catherine features 280 units and 25,000 square feet of retail amenities. The project is pursuing LEED Platinum certification and will deliver late 2021.
On the neighboring 89-unit site, MW is ahead of schedule, topping-out the rough-framing. These units will deliver in early 2020.
