Milender White (MW), Trammell Crow Residential (TCR), Shears Adkins Rockmore Architects (SA+R) and partners celebrated the start of construction on a new luxury residential building that promises to be a jewel in the Denver Tech Center community – One Seven at Belleview Station.
Residents of this architecturally stunning 17-story tower in the heart of South Denver’s Belleview Station neighborhood will enjoy outstanding views, unique amenity spaces and shops and cafes occupying the project’s 7,400 sq. ft. of retail space. The One Seven at Belleview Station will deliver 250 luxury units and 250 parking stalls and is conveniently located near the Belleview Light Rail Station and I-25. According to the design team, the development is designed to “create a transition between the low rise architecture to the south along Belleview Avenue and the taller architecture to the north” along the rail line and highway. A “floating tower” is situated above the masonry deck, providing an awe-inspiring deck space.
Located at the corner of Chenango Avenue and Newport Street, One Seven at Belleview Station is one component of a 55-acre mixed-use development that will include office space, retail, hotels and five parks when fully realized.
“Our preconstruction team, led by Brent Gathright, worked closely with SA+R architects early in the conceptual phase,” said Matt Joens, Construction Executive and Vice President at Milender White. “Through this early integration of teams, we were successfully able to ensure that the end result of our preconstruction efforts provided for a building that met and exceeded the expectations of both Trammel Crow Residential and Shears Adkins Rockmore Architects. We are excited to continue the collaboration as we advance to the construction stage and are proud to be a part of this project team.”
In addition to the many exciting and challenging aspects of the project, including canted concrete columns holding up a 17-story concrete frame and elevated deck, Milender White will also take advantage of prefabrication by utilizing prefabricated exterior walls built by South Valley Prefab. The wall panels will be built off-site, hoisted into place, and finished with window installation. The prefabrication process is more sustainable and increases safety, production and quality while also expediting the overall project schedule.
