This month Milender White added hardware to both its California and Colorado office trophy cases.
- At the ABC Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards last week in Denver, the team won the Excellence Award (first place) in the Other Construction: $2-$100 million category for the Toolik Ecological Observatory tower in Alaska. The project also won the “Free Enterprise Award” for using the most ABC members on a job submitted for EIC. The award-winning Toolik project is located more than 170 miles above the Arctic Circle, on Alaska’s North Slope. Building the 26-ft scientific data collection tower on the desolate Arctic tundra during the dark, frigid winter and into the late summer months presented formidable challenges and it’s remote location mandated preparedness to another level. - Also at the EIC Awards, Milender White construction executive Darren Hinton was added to the Rocky Mountain Chapter BEAM Club. The BEAM Club was established to recognize ABC’s top membership recruiters for their commitment to growing the association. By recruiting five new members, ABC members are automatically enrolled in the BEAM Club by their chapter. Members receive one point for each new member recruited. BEAM Club activity is ongoing from year to year, with members’ point totals continually accruing.
