The 16M Civil project required new underground utilities for water, storm and sewer which occurred in both streets and a public alleyway. New utilities posed many install challenges as MW avoided a substantial amount of existing buried utilities serving this vibrant area of downtown Denver. MW’s close collaboration and coordination with the Downtown Denver Partnership, RTD, Xcel Energy and adjacent property landowners resulted in all new ROW primary gas and electric services on site. Additionally, ROW improvements included the removal, storage, recondition and reinstall of mall granite pavers, along with new concrete sidewalks, light pole bases, public alley concrete paving and curb & gutter.
