Milender White completed interior and exterior restoration to Denver’s historic City and County Building.
The 23,000 sq. ft. of interior work was primarily on the 1st floor and included asbestos abatement, selective demolition, finish carpentry, doors, frames and hardware, glass and glazing, drywall and ceilings, flooring, terrazzo, specialties, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and low voltage communications. Most rooms were occupied and operational during restoration.
Exterior restoration included repointing the historic masonry joints, restoring the granite steps, restoring 630 steel windows including the application of new energy saving clear film to bring the 1932 appearance back to life and re-gilding of the prominent golden eagle that sits on top of the carillon clock tower.
