Milender White partnered with Core Spaces and Antunovich & Associates to build Hub on Campus LA-Figueroa – an example of best-in-class student housing developed with USC students in mind.
This exciting new mixed-use development on 28th Street between Flower and Figueroa towers seven stories. The 157-unit community also incorporates 18 units of very-low-income housing and workforce housing. Tenants enjoy a rooftop pool and hot tub, a fitness center and yoga room, private study rooms, high-quality finishes and design features and stylish and welcoming activity areas. The fully furnished units have individually keyed bedrooms, walk-in closets and showers and granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. An access-controlled garage contains 115 parking stalls.
Construction is cast-in-place concrete (up to level two), cold-formed load-bearing steel (level two) and wood frame (levels 3-7).
The MW preconstruction team helped manage the permitting and entitlement processes for the 292,683 sq. ft. project, plus long-lead logistical requirements such as right-of-way closures and power requirements. The team also found window design solutions allowing for aesthetically interesting irregular patterns along the exterior without added costs.
