Denver’s most famous jazz club, The Rossonian, sits at 2650 Welton Street in the Five Points neighborhood and is ready for renewal. Milender White will join the team of Palisade Partners and Craine Architecture to transform this historic building into a hotel, music venue and museum, celebrating its rich history of jazz entertainment and cultural influence in Denver for over 100 years.
The renovation project will restore the building to its iconic and original uses and will include upgrading the three levels of the existing building as well as attaching a new, eight-story building. The plans call for a ground-floor restaurant, a basement jazz and music venue and boutique hotel rooms (75 keys) on levels two through eight. The fourth level will include additional amenity including meeting spaces as well as an extensive bar that opens onto an outdoor deck.
The existing building will be renovated to maintain the façade and look of the exterior. The preconstruction team is partnering with prominent members of the Five Points neighborhood and local business to ensure that historic preservation, community engagement and planning for local art are key steps in the preconstruction process.
